May D ft. Davido – “Lowo Lowo” Stream & Download
Akinmayokun Awodumila professionally known as May D, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and dancer. The artist was once signed to the P-Square record label “Square records”. May D came into limelight after featuring in the “Chop my money” album alongside the now-defunct P-square and Akon. May D was born in Lagos State in the Southwestern part of Nigeria. He was born into a family of seven. May D attended the University of Lagos where he studied Mass Communication. May D got married to his longtime Swedish partner, Carolina Wassmuth. The couple got engaged in May 2018. The wedding was conducted by a legal officer. The marriage was blessed with a boy, Ethan, in October.
Nigerian vocalist/producer Davido was born David Adedeji Adeleke in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992. His interest in music began while attending Oakwood University in his late teens, and he started making his own beats and investigating music production. Success came quickly for Davido, and he sated his fans with a string of new tracks released over the next several years while work was being done on his sophomore album, The Baddest. Between 2013 and 2017, singles like “Gobe,” “Aye,” and “Pere” (among many others) piled up, sometimes featuring collaborations with bigger-name rappers like Meek Mill or Young Thug. In the time between albums, Davido also inked a deal with RCA and began his own label, although The Baddest still remained unreleased in mid-2017. The following year saw Davido issue the singles “Wonder Woman” and “NWA Baby.” In 2019, he paired with Chris Brown for the track “Blow My Mind.”
Barely 2 weeks after announcing his 30BG deal, May D recruits DMW top dog Davido on the remix to “Lowo Lowo.” It’s a DMW affair as new member of the 30 Billion Gang, May D links up with Davido on “Lowo Lowo (Remix).” Last month, the original record dropped and received glowing reviews from fans and industry folks alike. Fast forward to July, and we have a fresh upgrade, both in status and song quality with Davido’s vocals coming in.
For clarity, May D still primarily reps his own imprint, Confam Entertainment. However, our understanding is that his DMW gig is a joint venture. Enough talking, jam this Dante-produced banger right away! With visible confirmation below, we can conclude that the video will be dropping shortly. Confam!
