DJ Cuppy officially became a DJ at the age of 18, after her A-level studies. Her outstanding performance as a DJ made way for her as the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban. Owing to her ace performance in Durban, Cuppy was called up to perform at Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London, as well as at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City.
Julian Ricardo Marley was born 4 June, 1975 is a British Jamaican reggae musician. He is the son of reggae artist and performer Bob Marley, and Lucy Pounder. Marley is a Grammy award nominated, reggae singer, musician, songwriter, producer and humanitarian.
Born Oluwashina Akanbi Peters in Ogun State, Peters’ career in music began at a young age when he played with friends under the handle Olushina and His Twelve Fantastic Brothers. While playing with his friends, he taught himself how to play the piano and later joined Ebenezer Obey’s band. Thereafter, he left Obey’s band and joined General Prince Adekunle’s band as a guitar player. Adekunle’s band played in Lagos hotels such as Western Hotel, Palm Beach Hotel and Executive Hotel. When Adekunle was ill, Peters sometimes acted as lead singer. He left Adekunle to form Shina Adewale, a band with Juju Maestro Segun Adewale.
Further star-studded tracks include Grammy winner Wyclef Jean making an appearance on the feel good ‘Wale’, Bob Marley’s son Julian linking up with Nigerian favourite Sir Shina Peters on the cross-continental anthem ‘54’. The project also features some of the biggest Nigerian artists like; Teni, Fireboy, Seyi Shay, Ycee and Nonso Amadi. The popular Nigerian disc jockey, musician, and producer, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as Cuppy has taken a giant stride in her career. She has finally released her anticipated album, Original Copy, on Friday, 21st of August. The tracklist, released at the beginning of August, revealed that the album includes Cuppy’s recent hit singles “Jollof on the Jet” featuring Rema & Rayvanny and “Karma” featuring Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy.
The project serves as her first project, following her massive success since she joins the music industry. In addition, ‘Original Copy‘ album contains 12-tracks features the likes of Fireboy DML, Rema, Ravanny, Stonebwoy, Ycee, Seyi Shay, Teni, Ms Banks and others.
