Olamide – “Carpe Diem” Stream & Download
Olamide Adedeji was born 15 March 1989. He is popularly known as Olamide but popularly called Olamide Baddo or BaddoSneh), is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist. He records in Yoruba, and English. In 2011, he released his debut studio album Rapsodi while signed to Coded Tunes. YBNL, his follow-up album, was released under his label imprint YBNL Nation.
YBNL Boss, Olamide Adedeji aka Baddo, has released his 11th studio Album titled “Carpe Diem”. Carpe Diem is a Latin phrase that’s used to urge someone to enjoy the present and worry less of the future. However, Olamide is an Artiste that never disappoints his fans since the year 2011 he broke into the music industry. Olamide makes sure to release at least 1 Album every year and this is Carpe Diem for 2020.
Carpe Diem is Latin for ‘Seize the day’ or loosely, ‘Seize the moment.’ With it, Olamide simply preaches that he is choosing to seize the moment rather than grasp at straws. While some of this change can be attributed to Olamide’s new affiliation with EMPIRE Distribution, it’s also about Olamide’s appetite to extend his stay at the top rather than roll over and die. Across the 12 tracks and 38 minutes that make ‘Carpe Diem,’ Olamide speaks more to the heart and soul of his female fan base. While women have always loved Olamide, it was usually about women liking Olamide for who he is without any necessary effort from the rapper. Songs like ‘Melo Melo’ were outliers.
The Album which has a few of his previous released singles has his favourite producers do justice with the beats. The 12-track album features 6 diverse artists, including Peruzzi, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, Bella Shmurda, Bad Boy Timz and Phyno. Producers include P. Prime, Pheels, ID Cabasa, Young John and V. Stix.
